The black-clad woman turned again to face Julia. “All right, then. Kill me and get this over with.”

“If I had wanted to kill you, I would have already done so,” the Orizon replied.

“Then what...?”

“We will allow you to carry on with your miserable life if you give us some information.”

“Is that so? And what do you want to know?

“How did you know that we were here?”

Dracaena raised her head high and sneered contemptuously. “We know everything about you and your mission to Delphi. And as for that, be sure that you will never make it.”

“What? How is that possible? Tell us everything!” Alexander shouted.

She turned towards him, her face disfigured by hatred. “I will tell you absolutely nothing! Besides, I am aware of the stupid honour code of the Orizons which forbids you to kill an unarmed opponent... And, as you can see, I’m not holding a weapon anymore.”

The prince raised the automatic weapon he was holding and glued its barrel to her forehead. “I uphold no code,” he hissed between his teeth. “So speak!”

“Alex! What are you doing?” Leylah asked, astonished.

“Speak!” he screamed.

Dracaena laughed loudly.

“So you think this is funny? Well then give my regards to your master, Cronus,” Alex said, his finger touching the trigger.

“Oh, yes!” the Sartani growled like a creature possessed. “It’s truly very funny. And it’s funny because if you have decided to violate your code, then it is certain that you will kill me even if I reveal all to you.”

“No, I assure you that we...” the princess tried to say.

“This is what you’ll do once you learn the truth!” Dracaena interrupted her. “But never mind. I will tell you everything because before I leave for Hell I will at least have the pleasure of watching you suffer... Suffer greatly!”

“What do you mean?” Julia asked.

“I mean that we learned of your mission in Delphi from two young Orizons who we arrested and still keep imprisoned in Athens!”

“Gregory and Anna!” Leylah exclaimed in horror.

“Exactly! Those are their names,” Dracaena confirmed triumphantly. “Your two friends who you travelled with from Utopia. Those two lovebirds... Well, I forced them to... ‘sing’ and tell me everything.”

“I don’t believe it!” Leylah said.

“Believe it, my dear... oracle! For a long time we have known of some of the houses that the Orizons use as their shelters in the city of Athens and, of course, we have been watching them closely. Last night we received an order from London to invade them all and to capture or kill anyone inside. Thus, we managed to arrest your two friends in their sleep, which was lucky for us, since the kiddies revealed everything about your oh so important mission in the Temple of Apollo.”

“You are lying!” the princess shouted. “There is no way Gregory and Anna would have confessed anything to you. Orizon warriors never succumb to torture.”

The blue eyes of the Sartani sparkled with malice. “Hmm... Yes... I must admit that you are right. I could not get a word from the mouths of your friends, even when I started cutting their flesh to pieces.
